Kids Gone Fishin at the BBAC

This is the event where they dump hundreds of pounds of catfish into the Outdoor Leisure Pool, and give young people the chance to catch them.

The schedule starts with the check-in at 8:30am, followed by Catch and Release from 9am-10am.

Participants are allowed to bring their own pole, or they can borrow one from the Aquatic Center.

Then, there is a Catch and Keep period from 10am-11am, where if the kids find a fish that they like, they can keep it.

They will close out the event with the prizes and awards at 11am.

Awards are going to be given for First Fish Caught, Biggest Overall Fish, and Biggest Fish in several age groups.

The competition categories are from ages 2-17 years old. There is also a Special Needs category with no age limit.

While the Kids Gone Fishin’ is taking place, the indoor pools at the Aquatic Center will be open from 9am-12 noon along with inflatables for everyone to enjoy.
